Well...My time at Great Beginnings has come to an end. I have enjoyed being the Executive Director for just over 3 years and seeing all the wonderful changes those three years have brought; new infant room and playgrounds; renovations throughout the daycare; expansion of programs offered; new logo and branding; wonderful connections made with agencies in the community; and much, much more.
Most importantly, I have enjoyed building relationships with the staff, providers, families and children I have been honoured to serve. These people are the real reason I chose to work in child care many years ago, and they are still my reason today. Seeing people reach their full potential is the most rewarding part of what I do.
The reason for my resignation is that my husband has been offered, and he has accepted, a wonderful new job opportunity out of the province. We are looking forward to our new adventure and will take with us many amazing memories from our time in Windsor/Essex County. My last day as Executive Director of Great Beginnings will be Friday, December 13, 2019.
I wish everyone at Great Beginnings (staff, providers, families, children) all the best in the future and hope for great things for each of you!
