After a long winter, spring has sprung and summer is just around the corner! I love this time of year! Waking up to the sound of birds in the trees just outside my window, the sun on my face as I walk about and the fresh blooms of colourful flowers all bring my senses to life after a long stretch of hibernation!
I encourage all of our families and children to get outside and enjoy the wonders of nature this season. Go for a bike ride. Take a picnic in the park. Visit the splash pad. Go canoeing on the river. Visit local hiking trails. Plant a garden. There is so much to do and enjoy outdoors.
And it's good for young and old alike. It lifts our spirits, puts smiles on our faces and a spring in our steps! Being outdoors is a healthy choice for our wellbeing. It calms our minds, helps with stress and changes our perspectives.
So grab that sunscreen, put on a hat and get out there! You will be glad you did!
