Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between EarlyON and Child Care?
EarlyON is a program that focuses on early childhood education and development, childcare focuses on children’s care, supervision and safety. Both are held in a safe and fun environment meant to meet the children’s basic needs.
What happens if my child becomes ill at the childcare centre?
If your child becomes ill while in our care, we will contact the parent/guardian to arrange a pick-up. While waiting for the parent/guardian, the child will be kept away from the other children to prevent the spread of the cold/flu.
Do you require families to sign children in and out?
Yes, all children must be signed in and out. We need to know which children are in our care for safety. In case of an emergency, the sign in list will help us ensure that all children are accounted for and are safe.
How do you support children with severe allergies or medications?
Our team is trained in CPR and First Aid. If your child needs certain medications, it must be signed in it’s original packaging with the script and child’s name on the package. When signed in, a form must be filled out with the amount and time(s) the medication needs to be given.
How do I register my child for EarlyON or Childcare?
You can register by contacting us through our website’s contact form, by giving us a call at 519-253-5235 or by visiting us at our main locations at 820 California Ave, Windsor, Ontario
How do I get help paying for childcare?
The City of Windsor provides a fee subsidy to those who qualify to assist with your Child Care Center and Home Child Care fees. To find more information or to see if you qualify, visit OneHSN.
Can someone pick up my child without my consent?
A child can only be signed out by a parent or guardian that is authorized to pick up a child. A form with the names and relationship of the parents/guardians who are authorized to pickup the child is completed when the child is signed up for our Home Child Care, EarlyON or Child Care programs. Any one picking up a child who is not on the authorized list but is designated by the parent/guardian of the child, must show photo ID.
